Carlo Schmid Program

The Carlo Schmid Program, which was launched in 2001, supports outstanding students and graduates in familiarising themselves with the issues and working methods in international administration through an internship and helps to expand their intercultural skills. In addition, accompanying activities aim to further improve the qualifications and chances of these young people for later employment in the international field.

The Carlo Schmid Program is carried out by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with the German National Academic Foundation and is primarily funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

The internships are accompanied by introductory and summer seminars as well as the activities of the alumni association.
